Dana Carne Season 2002-03

2004: Dana Carne earned his first letter in 2004 and was also named a Second-Team Academic All-American... graduated with a degree in biological sciences in May 2004.

2002: In the 2002 indoor season on very limited training, Dana Carne ran indoor personal-best times in the 3,000 and 5,000? best time in the 3,000 (8:37.98) was run at the adidas Invitational? ran his best time in the 5,000 (15:27.11) at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite? did not compete outdoors due to injury.

At Colorado State: Used only one season of cross-country eligibility during his two years in attendance at Colorado State due to a string of injuries and illness... transferred to Nebraska in the fall of 2001.

High School: Set the all-time Nebraska state record in the 3,200 meters with a time of 9:06.57 at the 1999 Arcadia Invitational in Arcadia, Calif... missed most of his senior year because of a stress fracture... placed second in the 3,200 meters (9:28.39) at the 1998 Nebraska Class A meet... finished third in the 1,600 meters and eighth in the 3,200 meters at the 1997 Class A meet... was the 1997 Class A cross country champion... notched a second-place finish in the 3,200 meters and a fourth-place finish in the 1,600 meters at the 1996 Class A meet.
