2005: Adam Evans made a big leap in the hammer throw as a sophomore, concluding the outdoor season with a personal-best throw of 175-0 to finish 14th at the Big 12 Championships... won the John Jacobs Invitational with a hurl of 163-9... finished fifth and eighth at the Emporia State Relays and Nebraska Wesleyan Twilight, respectively, with identical marks of 167-8... concluded his indoor season by notching a personal best of 53-1 in the weight throw at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... opened the season with a sixth-place throw of 52-8 at the adidas Classic. 2004: Evans consistently improved his personal-best mark in the hammer throw, and competed in the 35-pound weight throw for the first time... set a previous career long of 51-9 in the weight throw at the adidas Classic, his final meet of the indoor season... also set a then-personal best of 162-5 in the hammer throw to claim fifth at the Wesleyan Twilight, his final outdoor competition of 2004... highest placing came indoors at the season-opening Panther Open, where he finished fourth in the weight throw (49-9)... improved in the hammer by nearly 28 feet between the end of the 2003 and 2004 campaigns. 2003: Evans redshirted in 2003 to learn the hammer throw and the weight throw... competed unattached in the Nebraska Twilight where he threw 134-4 in his only hammer throw competition. High School: Placed fifth in the shot put (56-0 1/4) at the 2002 Nebraska Class A state championships... threw the shot 56-10 1/2 for a personal-best mark at the Midwest Indoor Classic... was a Nebraska Class A state meet qualifier as a sophomore in the shot put, but did not score.
