Trey Jordan produced a strong junior season by making is first trip to the NCAA Championships, while also capturing All-Big 12 honors in the shot put both indoors and outdoors... struggled during the indoor regular season to produce a solid mark due to fouling problems ... finished third at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with a then-personal best toss of 57-7 after switching from a spin to a glide technique... ended the indoor season with a personal-best throw of 59-1 1/2 at the Cyclone Last Chance, the 12th-best performance indoors in NU history... continued to throw well during the outdoor season, producing five meet victories and breaking his personal best three times... entered the year with a best of 55-4 3/4, which he broke at the Jim Click Shootout with a runner-up toss of 58-10 3/4... followed a win at the Nebraska Invitational by breaking the 60-foot mark for the first time in his career at the John McDonnell Invitational with a winning throw of 60-0 1/4... posted three straight wins at the WSC Wildcat Open, Nebraska Quad and Concordia Twilight, including a personal best of 60-8 3/4 at the Concordia Twilight... earned runner-up honors at the conference outdoor meet with a throw of 60-6 1/2... received an automatic bid to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a fourth-place toss of 59-8 1/2 at the NCAA Midwest Regional... placed 20th at the national meet with a throw of 58-9 1/2.

Jordan focused on the shot put in his first year at Nebraska... made his Husker debut at the Conference Challenge, finishing second with a toss of 54-0... won the Prairie Wolf Invite with a throw of 55-7 1/2... scored at the Big 12 Indoor Championships by finishing seventh with a season-best throw of 55-7 3/4... started the outdoor season with a then-personal best of 55-4 3/4 at the Jim Click Shootout... won his first outdoor meet in a Nebraska uniform at the John Jacobs Invitational (53-10 1/2)... finished runner-up at the Nebraska Open (54-8) and Nebraska Invitational (48-6 3/4)... competed at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships (53-9 3/4) and the NCAA Midwest Regional (54-9 1/2), finishing ninth and 10th, respectively.

Jordan joined the Huskers after spending one season at Texas Christian University... placed third in the shot put at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships with a then-career-best 56-3 1/4... earned MWC Indoor all-league honors... recorded a shot put season best of 54-10 3/4 at the UTA Invitational and a discus career-best of 155-8 at the Horned Frog Invitational... was a three-time Texas state champion in the shot put, including Class 2A in 2005 (60-0 3/4) and 2006 (59-1 1/2) and Class 3A in 2004 (55-3 3/4) under his father and coach Earl Jordan... won the 2006 Texas Class 2A discus with a then personal-best 175-4... career-best put of 62-8 1/2 earned him fifth place at the 2005 Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C... posted an indoor prep best of 60-9 1/4 at the 2006 Nike Indoor Nationals in Landover, Md., to finish third.
