2013 (Senior)
Tommy Brinn competed in six meets during the 2013 indoor season... finished sixth in the 600 meters with a time of 1:17.73 at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships... helped the men's distance medley relay squad to a fourth-place finish at the conference meet, recording a time of 9:41.67... also recorded a time of 1:17.95 in the 600 meters at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite... notched a personal-best time of 1:49.11 in the 800 meters at the Razorback Invitational... helped the distance medley relay squad to a time of 9:45.50 at the Razorback Invitational and a time of 9:31.71 at the Alex Wilson Invitational.

2012 (Junior)
Brinn garnered second-team All-Big Ten accolades in 2012, as he finished second in the 600 meters at the conference championships... he posted an indoor personal-best time of 1:17.63 in the 600 meters... recorded an indoor personal best of 4:16.48 in the mile run... also recorded a season-best time of 1:51.74 in the 800 meters at the Holiday Inn Invitational to open the season... competed in five meets during the outdoor season... led the Huskers with a season-best time of 1:49.17 in the 800 meters at the Sun Angel Classic... posted an outdoor personal best of 3:55.54 in the 1,500 meters at the K.T. Woodman Classic on April 14... helped the 4x800 meter relay team to a time of 7:34.13 at the Drake Relays, while also helping the distance medley relay team to a time of 9:55.40 in Des Moines... was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team, while also earning a spot on the Nebraska Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.

 

2011 (Sophomore)
Brinn continued an impressive Husker career, collecting All-Big 12 honors at the 2011 Big 12 Indoor Championships in the 800 meters after finishing second with a mark of 1:49.76... recorded a personal best of 1:09.87 in the 600-yard run and finished third at the Frank Sevigne Invite... notched a personal best of 1:49.20 in the 800-meter run and finished second at the Texas A&M Challenge... finished second in the 1,000-meter run at the adidas Classic with a personal best-time of 2:26.62... came in fifth after clearing a personal-best time of 1:48.87 in the 800 meters at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships.

 

2010 (Freshman)
Brinn earned three All-Big 12 honors and made a trip to the NCAA Championships... was the Huskers' top 800-meter runner both indoors and outdoors, running times of 1:52.06 and 1:49.53, respectively... cleared 1:50.17 during the preliminaries of the Big 12 Indoor Championships on Iowa State's 300-meter oversized track... finished fourth in the 800-meter indoor final, earning All-Big 12 honors... finished fifth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the 800 meters with a time of 1:49.70 and ran a leg of the fifth-place 4x400-meter relay to earn two more All-Big 12 honors... capped the year by running a leg of the 4x400-meter relay at the NCAA West Preliminary Round that placed ninth and qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., where he was an alternate on the relay.

 

Before Nebraska (Otsego)
Brinn had a solid prep career at Otsego High School in Otsego, Mich., under Head Coach Matt Grile... captured back-to-back Michigan LP Division 2 championships as a junior and senior... set the meet record as a junior with a time of 1:51.76 and then defended his title with a time of 1:55.49 as a senior... led Michigan to a win over Ohio and Indiana at the 2009 Midwest Meet of Champions with a meet-record and all-time Michigan prep best of 1:49.27... recorded the top prep time in Michigan as a junior and senior, ranking No. 4 nationally as a senior and No. 22 as a junior... finished third at the 2009 Nike Indoor Nationals, running 1:53.62... finished sixth at the 2009 USA Junior Nationals in Eugene, Ore., with a time of 1:53.25... chose Nebraska over Tennessee, Michigan and Indiana.
