2005: Tom Donlin made great progress in the weight and hammer throws for the third straight year, and scored in both events at the Big 12 Championships... notched a personal-record 64-7 in the weight throw to claim bronze at the Big 12 indoor meet... earned fourth place in the hammer at the Big 12 outdoor meet with a throw of 190-7... recorded his career-long mark in the hammer and qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional with a runner-up spin of 191-4 at the Nebraska Invitational... placed 19th at the regional meet (180-9)... won the hammer at the Nebraska Wesleyan Twilight (183-3)... opened the indoor season by earning his first NCAA provisional-qualifying mark in the weight throw by winning the Holiday Inn Invitational (62-11 1/2)... also finished first at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... notched a then-career-best throw of 63-5 to finish third at the KSU Open. 2004: Donlin improved his career-best marks in the 35-pound weight throw in every meet during the indoor season... earned bronze at his first Big 12 Championships with a throw of 61-5 3/4... season best of 62-2 1/4 came at the Cyclone NCAA Qualifier... won gold at the Tiger Classic (60-1 3/4), as well as silver to open the season at the Panther Open... set a then-personal-best distance of 189-1 in the hammer throw to earn silver at the Emporia State Relays... placed ninth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships after throwing 177-9... qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional, where he recorded a 21st-place heave of 181-2... set a personal record of 53-7 3/4 in the indoor shot put at the Cyclone NCAA Qualifier... his career-best outdoors in the shot put of 51-9 3/4 was recorded at the Jim Click Shootout. 2003: Donlin threw a then-career-best mark of 55-8 1/2 in the 35-pound weight throw at the Cyclone NCAA Qualifier during the indoor season... finished seventh at the Holiday Inn Invitational (54-2 3/4), the adidas Invite (55-0 3/4) and the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational (53-10 1/2)... won the hammer throw with a then-personal-record throw of 173-4 at the Concordia Twilight... won the hammer throw (167-0) at the Nebraska Wesleyan Twilight. 2002: Redshirted in 2002 in order to learn the hammer throw... participated in several open meets... threw mark of 55-6 1/2 in the weight throw at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... in only hammer competition, threw 146-9 at the Nebraska Wesleyan Open.
