Tim Thompson Season 2013-14

2014 (Junior/Senior)
Tim Thompson recorded a personal-best time of 21.35 in the 200 meters at altitude in New Mexico…posted a season-best time of 6.81 at the New Mexico Invitational in the 60 meters…finished runner-up at the Mark Colligan Memorial in both the 60 and 200 meters… battled to an eighth place showing in the 60 meters and an 11th place finish in the 200 meters at the Big Ten Indoor Championships.

2013 (Sophomore/Junior)
Thompson earned second-team All-America accolades at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships, helping the men’s 4x100-meter relay team to a 15th-place finish and a time of 39.84... finished second in the 4x100-meter relay at the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a time of 40.23... notched an eighth-place finish in the 100 meters at the outdoor conference meet... earned second-team All-Big Ten honors... notched season-best times of 10.55 in the 100 meters at the Big Ten Championships and 21.82 in the 200 meters at the Razorback Spring Invitational... competed in six meets during the indoor season... set a season-best time of 6.80 in the 60 meters at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite... notched a time of 21.44 in the 200 meters at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite.. finished 12th in the 60 meters with a time of 6.85 at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships, while finishing 16th in the 200 meters with a time of 21.56... claimed spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters.

2012 (Freshman/Sophomore)
Thompson earned honorable-mention All-America status in 2012 after helping the men’s 4x100-meter relay team to a strong showing at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships... set an indoor personal-best time of 6.78 in the preliminary round of the 60 meters at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships... went on to finish seventh in the 60 meters at the indoor conference meet... recorded a personal-best time of 21.38 in the preliminary round of the 200 meters at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships... finished fifth in the 200 meters at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships, posting a time of 21.63... recorded a season-best outdoor time of 10.49 in the 100 meters at the Sun Angel Classic on April 7... recorded a wind-aided time of 10.38 in the 100 meters at the Nebraska Invitational... set a personal-best of 21.12 in the 200 meters at the Nebraska Mini Meet on April 25...  finished fifth in the 100 meters (10.60), 11th in the 200 meters (21.19) and helped the 4x100-meter relay team to a third-place finish (40.10) at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships... finished 20th at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the 100 meters with a time of 10.44... qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 49.97 at the NCAA West Preliminary Round... set a time of 40.25 in the 4x100-meter relay at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

2011 (Redshirt/Freshman)
Thompson competed in five meets during the outdoor track and field season... recorded a season-best 10.52 in the WSU Classic on April 2... posted a season-best 21.47 in the 200 meters at the WSU Classic... finished 18th in the 100 meters at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a time of 10.99... took 19th in the 200 meters at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, with a mark of 22.13... helped the 4x100-meter relay team to a ninth-place finish with a time of 40.75.

Before Nebraska (Boys Town)
Thompson earned four individual Nebraska Class B state medals and two team titles while at Boys Town High School... qualified for the state meet for the first time as a junior in 2009 and placed seventh in the 100 meters (11.26)... the Cowboys easily won the team title with 65 points, while the runner-up had 38 points... as a senior, he took runner-up honors in the 100 (10.75) and placed fourth in the 200 (22.57) to contribute to the Cowboys’ second straight team title... highlighted his prep career at the 2010 state meet with a gold medal as the anchor of the 4x100-meter relay... the Cowboys reset their own 2009 record of 42.33 with a time of 42.14.
