Roxi Grizzle cleared 150 feet or more at three of her seven meets, including a season-best throw of 163-3 at the Kansas Relays... earned All-Big 12 honors for the second straight year with a seventh-place throw of 150-4 at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... competed at the NCAA West Regional and finished 29th.

Roxi Grizzle competed in the javelin at seven meets for the Huskers in her first season... took first at the John McDonnell Invitational with a toss of 135-7... qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional with a throw of 149-1 at the Ward Haylett Invitational... earned All-Big 12 honors at the conference outdoor meet, finishing sixth with a season-best throw of 149-2... placed 18th at the regional meet to conclude the year.

Grizzle joined Nebraska as a highly recruited javelin thrower out of Tonganoxie High School in DeSoto, Kan... earned Gatorade/Rise Magazine Kansas Girls Track and Field Athlete-of-Year honors in 2007 and 2008... won the 2007 Kansas Class 4A title with the longest throw in the state (160-2)... placed third at the U.S. Junior Championships with a toss of 150-0... was the only prep girl in the country with three throws in the national top 20 in 2007... returned in 2008 to post the top prep mark in the United States at 170-3 while also setting the Kansas Class 4A and All-Class state meet records with a throw of 165-5... finished second at the 2008 U.S. Junior Championships with a toss of 170-3, the fifth-longest throw in U.S. prep history and the second-longest throw in Kansas history... earned 12 letters in high school... totaled one letter each in basketball and soccer, three each in softball and volleyball and four in track and field... coached in high school by David St. Cyr... chose Nebraska over Kansas.
