2009 (Redshirt Freshman)
Following a redshirt year in 2008, Rob Babcock competed for the Huskers at five indoor meets and two outdoor meets... opened the indoor season at the Holiday Inn Invitational, tying his then-personal best with a vault of 15-1... set personal bests at back-to-back meets to end the indoor season... cleared 15-7 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational, then vaulted 15-8 1/4 two weeks later at the Nebraska Tune-Up... cleared 14-9 at the Nebraska Invitational to start the outdoor season... ended the year at the John McDonnell Invitational, vaulting 15-1.
2008 (Freshman)
Babcock redshirted both in the indoor and outdoor season in his first year at Nebraska... competed unattached at four meets during the indoor season, placing in the top eight at each meet... recorded a then-personal-best indoor vault of 15-1 at the Nebraska Last Chance to finish third... competed once during the outdoor season at the Nebraska Invitational, finishing sixth with a vault of 15-1.
Before Nebraska (Lincoln Southeast HS)
Relatively new to vaulting after spending 12 years as a diver... Babcock took up the event as a sophomore... vaulted in the 2006 state meet, but did not score... finished second at the 2007 Nebraska Class A state track and field meet in the pole vault with a personal-best leap of 15-2 for Lincoln Southeast High School under Coach Chris Johnson... was the 2006 and 2007 Nebraska prep state champion in diving.
