2010 (Junior)
Along with setting a personal best of 13-3 in the indoor pole vault, Rachel Birtles earned All-Big 12 honors both indoors and outdoors in the vault... cleared an indoor season best of 12-11 1/2 at two meets, including the adidas Classic and ISU Classic... set her indoor personal best during the outdoor season at the Big 12 Championships when rain forced the event indoors... vaulted 12-8 3/4 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships to place fifth... placed third at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... ended the year with a 33rd-place finish at the NCAA West Regional.

2009 (Sophomore)
Birtles opened with a second-place vault of 12-5 1/2 at the Holiday Inn Invitational... took second again at the adidas Classic, clearing 12-7 1/2... posted a season-best vault of 12-9 1/2 to finish 11th at the talent-filled Tyson Invitational... vaulted 12-7 1/2 to tie for second and earn All-Big 12 honors indoors for the second straight year at the conference championships... cleared 12-0 or higher at five of her six outdoor meets... became a regional qualifier for the second straight year with a season-best jump of 12-10 3/4 at the Nebraska Quad... took top honors the following week at the Ward Haylett Invitational with a clearance at 12-7 1/2... tied for 15th at the regional meet for the second straight year to end the season.

2008 (Freshman)
Birtles contributed immediately to the Husker pole vault squad in her freshman year with medals at the indoor and outdoor Big 12 Championships as well as a trip to the NCAA Midwest Regional... finished third at her first collegiate meet with a vault of 11-5 3/4 at the Holiday Inn Invitational... finished second at the Conference Challenge (12-10 3/4) and third at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with a then-personal-best vault of 12-11 1/2... completed the indoor season at the Big 12 Indoor Championships by tying for eighth place... posted an outdoor season-best vault of 12-7 1/2 at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships to finish sixth and qualify for the NCAA Midwest Regional... tied for 15th at the regional meet... finished the 2008 campaign at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, tying for 20th with a vault of 11-11 3/4.

Before Nebraska (Carine Senior HS)
Birtles competed at the 2007 IAAF World Youth Championships, finishing seventh with a vault of 12-11 3/4... won the Australian Schools under-17 pole vault title and was runner-up in the Australian Junior Championships in 2006... graduated from Carine Senior High School where she was honored with the All-Rounder Award at Year 12 Graduation... coached by Alex Parnov.
