In Turkey: Pinar Saka (pronounced PIN-ahr SAH-kah) comes to Nebraska from Turkey, where she gained valuable experience at several international meets... set Turkey’s national junior record in the 400-meter dash (53.83)... won the 2005 Turkish national 400-meter title with a time of 54.33... also ran on the 4x400-meter relay team that set a national record of 3:36.49... competed at the 2004 World Junior Championships, finishing 10th in both the 200- and 400-meter events... earned third place in the 400 at the 2004 Baltic Championships (54.58).
