2005: Philip Damaska redshirted during both indoor and outdoor seasons in his first year at Nebraska... competed unattached indoors, recording season bests of 22.20 in the 200 meters and 51.20 in the 400 meters at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... competed in two meets outdoors with season-best marks of 22.53w in the 200 and 51.20 in the 400 at the Nebraska Wesleyan Twilight. High School: Damaska helped lead Detroit Country Day to the 2004 Michigan Lower Peninsula State Division 3 Championship title... won gold medals at the 2004 Division 3 state meet in the 200 (22.10), 400 (48.70) and 4x200-meter relay (2:29.04 - Division 3 meet record), which he anchored... also ran on silver-medal winning 4x400-meter relay... ran on two Division 3 meet-record relays (4x100- and 4x200-meter), while placing sixth in the 400 meters as a sophomore at the 2002 state meet... was the 2004 Michigan MITS (Michigan Indoor Track Series) state runner-up in the 400 (51.00), and ran on the winning 4x200-meter relay... also ran a leg on the third-place 4x400-meter relay... ran on two winning relays (4x200- and 4x400-meter relay) at the 2003 MITS state meet.
