Before Nebraska
Leading the Chase County Longhorns to a Nebraska Class C state title in his senior year, Noah Rau set the state and meet record in the discus to earn the state title. The Nebraska Boys' Track and Field Gatorade Player of the Year used his first two throws at the state meet to throw a personal best mark of 196-04. Finishing his high school career as the No. 3-ranked discus thrower in the nation, Rau recorded a mark of 219-6 at the South Platte Valley Association Meet in early May.
