2006: Nic Petersen, who experienced his best campaign with the Huskers last season, will compete only outdoors after exhausting his indoor eligibility... broke the 17-foot barrier both indoors and outdoors for the first time in 2006... placed sixth at both Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championships, tying his career-best conference result... reached a personal-best 17-1 at the NCAA Midwest Regional to earn 13th place... cleared 17 feet for the first time to finish fifth at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... hit the NCAA regional standard outdoors by tying for seventh at the Texas Relays (16-6 3/4). 2005: Petersen finished sixth in the indoor pole vault at the Big 12 Championships... finished 11th at the Big 12 outdoor meet after clearing 15-7... set his previous outdoor personal-best height of 16-10 3/4 to tie for second place at the Kansas Relays and meet his first NCAA regional qualification of the season... did not clear the opening height at the Midwest Regional... opened the indoor season with a fourth-place finish at the adidas Classic (16-6 3/4)... vaulted 16-6 to earn fifth place in the unseeded section at the Tyson Invite... claimed third place at the KSU Open (16-0 3/4)... tied for fifth at the Stanford Invite (16-0 3/4) to open the outdoor season. 2004: Petersen set his previous indoor personal-high mark of 16-6 3/4 in the pole vault to earn fourth place at the adidas Classic... later matched the mark at the NCAA Cyclone Qualifier... claimed eighth place at the Big 12 indoor meet... earned silver at the Tiger Classic after recording a height of 15-9... vaulted 16-4 3/4 to place fourth at the Husker Invite... redshirted during the outdoor season... competed unattached at the Concordia Invite, tying for first place with a height of 15-5... also finished third at the Nebraska Quadrangular (16-0 3/4). 2003: Petersen set a then-career-best mark of 16-0 3/4 in the pole vault both indoors and outdoors... won the Prairie Wolf Invite (15-9)... set a previous personal-best mark outdoors (16-0 3/4) at the K.T. Woodman Classic, where he won bronze... finished second in the Emporia State Relays pole vault... vaulted a previous indoor personal-best 16-0 3/4 when the Nebraska Twilight pole vault was moved indoors... tied for 14th at the Midwest Regional with a height of 15-7 1/4.
