Lindsey Maher (pronounced mah-HER) finished in the top five at four of her six indoor meets... vaulted a season best of 11-11 3/4 to finish third at both the Holiday Inn Invitational and the Nebraska Tune-Up... topped 12 feet or more at four of her seven outdoor meets... cleared 12-1 1/2 at the John McDonnell Invitational, Drake Relays and Ward Haylett Invitational... matched her personal best of 12-7 1/2 at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships to finish fifth and earn All-Big 12 honors, her highest finish at any conference meet.
2008 (Sophomore)
Maher earned her first Big 12 medal and first trip to the NCAA Midwest Regional in 2008... won the Prairie Wolf Invite with a vault of 11-11 3/4... tied for eighth at the Big 12 Indoor Championships at 12-0 3/4... finished runner-up twice during the outdoor season at the John Jacobs Invitational (11-1 3/4) and Ward Haylett Invitational (12-1 1/2)... shattered her personal best by four inches at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a vault of 12-7 1/2 (3.85) to finish 10th and qualify for the NCAA Midwest Regional... tied for 13th at the regional meet with a vault of 12-0.
2007 (Freshman)
Maher finished 11th at both the Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championships... marked a season-best vault of 12-0 1/2 for fourth place at the Prairie Wolf Invitational during the indoor season... added an outdoor season best of 11-11 3/4, which she recorded on three occasions, including the Big 12 Championships.
Before Nebraska (Centennial HS)
Maher joined the Huskers following a standout prep career that featured a pair of Nebraska All-Class gold medals under Coach John Stineman at Centennial High School... repeated as the Class B and All-Class gold medal champion as a senior in 2006 after winning with a height of 11-10... the mark ranked third on the state’s all-time performance list... won her first Class B and All-Class gold medal as a junior in 2005 with a mark of 11-6 1/4... placed third at the 2006 Kansas Relays (10-11 3/4)... was a member of the National Honor Society.

Parents are Brian and Peg Maher... born Dec. 6, 1987... majors are pre-middle grades education and pre-coaching... sister, Maggie, and brother, Brett, are also on the NU track and field team.
