Indoor: Finished third in the 5000m at the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational, running 14:53.82…Ran 4:29.01 in the mile at the Husker Holiday Open to finish fifth and ran 4:28.97 at the Mark Colligan Memorial to finish 10th…Placed eighth at the Graduate Classic in the 3000m (8:36.83).

Outdoor: Finished second in the 10,000m at the KT Woodman, running 31:04.12.

Before Nebraska
Competed for Temple three seasons...finished 45th at the 2023 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships with a time of 30:54.6...placed fourth at the 2023 Pirate Cross Country Invitational with an 8k time of  23:53.2...three-time Nebraska State Champion for Lincoln North Star...was the state, district, conference and city champion his senior year...named the 2019-20 and 2020-21 Nebraska Boys Cross Country Gatorade Player of the Year.

Personal
Born in an Ethiopian refugee camp before growing up in South Sudan and Uganda... Was adopted by his older sister, Nyanthiay Chot, who helped move Liem and his two older brothers from Africa to the United States in 2013...Attended Lincoln North Star before running three years at Temple.
