2006: Lee Martin finished sixth in the Big 12 decathlon for the second straight year and nearly qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a personal-best score of 7,109 (wind-aided)... set individual personal bests in the 100- and 400-meter dashes, the 1,500-meter run and long jump (wind-aided) during the competition... his NCAA provisional-qualifying score ranked 28th nationally, but only 26 were selected for the national meet... also produced scores of 6,528 at the Jim Click Combined Events (10th) and 6,605 (eighth) in the Audrey Walton Decathlon... set a career-best spin in the discus at the Emporia State Relays... set career-best indoor marks for the 60-meter hurdles at the Prairie Wolf Invitational, the pole vault at the Holiday Inn Invite and the shot put at the Nebraska Wesleyan Triangular. 2005: Martin scored in his first conference meet with a sixth-place performance in the decathlon during the Big 12 outdoor meet despite suffering from an injured elbow that severely limited his ability in the javelin... set his previous personal-best score with 6,769 points after recording individual event bests in the pole vault and long jump... claimed fourth place at the Drake Relays with 6,653 points after setting a lifetime-best height pole vault... set a personal best of 185-4 in the javelin at the Doane Relays prior to injuring his elbow... totaled 6,660 points for a sixth-place finish at the Audrey Walton Combined Events... opened the indoor campaign with a personal-best score of 3,654 to finish third in the Carol Robinson Pentathlon, while setting individual event bests in the high jump and long jump. 2004: Martin competed in both the heptathlon and decathlon in his first season as a Husker... scored 6,712 points during the outdoor season at the Audrey Walton Decathlon... set then-individual event personal bests in the 400 meters (51.28), 1,500 meters (4:27.70), 110-meter hurdles (16.76), pole vault (12-1 1/2) and discus (121-6)... earned eighth place in the javelin at the Jim Click Shootout with a toss of 183-3... recorded his previous indoor personal-best score of 4,776 in the heptathlon to earn fourth place at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite, where he set then-individual event bests in the 1,000 meters (2:40.81), high jump (6-4 3/4), pole vault (10-8) and shot put (40-1 1/2)... forced to withdraw from the heptathlon at the Big 12 Indoor Championships after suffering an injury... managed to set personal-best marks in the 60 meters (7.38) and long jump (21-11 3/4) before having to withdraw from competition. 2003: Martin redshirted in 2003, competing unattached in only two indoor meets with a 21-1 1/2 season best in the long jump at the Holiday Inn Invite. High School: Martin collected a Nebraska Class B state championship in the 2001 triple jump with a mark of 44-11 as a junior and was also eighth in the long jump... in his senior season he finished second in the triple jump (45-7 1/2) and fourth in the high jump (6-6)... was second in the 2000 Class B triple jump as a sophomore... was named to the second-team all-state basketball squad.
