2009 (Senior)
Keith Lloyd won his first Big 12 Championship during the indoor season in 2009, while also earning four All-Big 12 honors... started the indoor season on fire in the shot put, earning first-place honors at the Holiday Inn Invitational and Conference Challenge... after finishing fourth at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite and second at the Tyson Invitational, Lloyd would not lose another shot put competition the rest of the indoor season... reeled off three straight wins at the Nebraska Tune-Up, Big 12 Indoor Championships and Cyclone Last Chance, including a personal-best throw of 59-7 3/4 at the Cyclone Last Chance... was also tough in the weight throw, placing in the top three at four out of six meets... finished first at the Holiday Inn Invitational and NWU Invitational... took fifth-place honors at the conference indoor meet... opened the outdoor season with a sixth-place finish in the shot put and 11th-place finish in the hammer throw in the invite-only divisions at the Stanford Invitational... finished in the top 10 at every other meet during the outdoor season in the hammer throw, including a first-place finish at the Nebraska Quad... placed fifth in the shot put and third in the hammer throw at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, medaling in both events for the third time in his career... finished the season at the NCAA Midwest Regional where he finished eighth in the shot and hammer... leaves Nebraska as an 11-time All-Big 12 performer and is ranked in the top 10 in four different events on the all-time NU performance list, including the indoor shot put (10th), indoor weight throw (10th), outdoor shot put (6th) and outdoor hammer throw (2nd).
2008 (Senior / Junior)
Lloyd was hampered by a hand injury during the indoor season and was forced to redshirt, but returned strong during the outdoor season, earning a trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the shot put and hammer throw... notched victories in the shot put at five meets during the outdoor season, including the Kansas Relays (55-3 3/4), Nebraska Open (55-11 3/4), Ward Haylett Invitational (56-8 1/2), Nebraska Invitational (55-2) and NCAA Midwest Regional (61-5)... secured a spot at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with his mark at the regional meet, which was a personal best and became the No. 6 shot putter all-time outdoors at Nebraska... was tough to beat in the hammer throw, finishing in the top five at eight of 10 meets... won the Nebraska Open (195-6) and Nebraska Invitational (202-1)... placed third in the shot put (60-2 1/2) and fourth in the hammer throw (200-9) at the Big 12 Championships... secured an automatic bid to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a personal-best throw of 207-5 at the NCAA Midwest Regional to finish fourth, marking the second-best throw in Husker history, trailing record-holder Issar Yazhbin (207-7) by just two inches... ended the season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a 13th-place finish in the shot put (58-11 1/4) and a 21st-place finish in the hammer throw (197-9).
2007 (Junior)
A stubborn injury plagued Lloyd during his junior season, allowing him to compete in one meet all season, the Big 12 Indoor Championships... took advantage of his one opportunity and garnered All-Big 12 honors with a seventh-place finish in the shot put (55-2 3/4) and an eighth-place finish in the weight throw (62-3 1/2) to help the team to a share of the Big 12 team title... his mark in the weight throw placed him ninth in the Husker record books.
2006 (Sophomore)
Lloyd was the Huskers’ leader in the throws during his sophomore year... unleashed a season-best effort of 59-7 3/4 in the shot put to place fifth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, while also finishing eighth in the hammer throw (187-11)... earned seventh place in the shot indoors (55-2) during his first Big 12 competition and was 12th in the weight throw (59-9)... surpassed the 200-foot barrier for the first time in the hammer throw with a winning toss of 200-9 at the Ward Haylett Invitational... also set a personal best of 156-0 in the discus, as well as his previous best of 57-6 1/4 in the shot at the meet... was the lone Husker to meet the regional standard in more than one individual event... competed at the NCAA Midwest Regional in the shot put and hammer while battling the flu... recorded his indoor best shot put of 56-3 3/4 during the Nebraska-Colorado State-Kent State Triangular.
Before Nebraska (Millard North HS / Boise State)
Lloyd transferred to Nebraska after competing in 2005 at Boise State... placed sixth in the weight throw at the WAC Indoor Championships with a throw of 56-4 1/2... due to a shoulder injury, competed in only two meets outdoors and recorded marks of 162-0 in the hammer throw and 49-10 1/2 in the shot put... was a four-time qualifier for the Nebraska Class A state meet in both the shot put and discus at Millard North High School under Coach Mike Neeman... swept the 2004 Class A shot put (62-3 1/2) and discus (171-5) titles his senior year, and also won the All-Class gold medal in both events to become the first male athlete to accomplish the feat since former Husker Greg Armitage in 1991... won the 2004 USA Youth Athletics Championships in the shot put (61-5 3/4) and discus (122-4)... threw prep personal best of 62-4 1/2 at the 2004 USATF Region VIII Championships... finished runner-up in the shot put competition (58-1) to former Husker Chase Beideck as a junior, while placing sixth in the discus (165-0)... was the fourth-place finisher in the shot put as a sophomore (56-0 1/2).
