2010 (Junior)
Kayla Ubel (pronounced You-bell) made her first career trips to the indoor and outdoor Big 12 Championships as a junior... cut over two seconds off her indoor best in the 400 meters with a time of 57.66 at the Nebraska Tune-Up... ran the 600 yards and was a member of the Huskers' DMR at the indoor conference meet... competed in the 400 meters at the outdoor conference meet and ran a leg of Nebraska's 10th-place 4x400-meter relay.
2009 (Sophomore)
Ubel ran the 400 meters both indoors and outdoors in 2009... competed in four meets during the indoor season, including a then-personal best of 59.85 in the preliminaries of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... competed three times outdoors, posting a season best of 58.32 at the Nebraska Quad to finish fourth.
2008 (Freshman)
Ubel earned her first collegiate victory during the indoor season with a time of 1:00.05 in the 400 meters at the Nebraska Last Chance... ran the 400-meter hurdles at six meets during the outdoor season, placing in the top 10 at every meet but the Kansas Relays (24th)... set a personal-best time at the Nebraska Open with a 1:07.44... claimed her highest finish of the outdoor season by taking third at the Nebraska Invitational (1:09.38).
Before Nebraska (Blue Valley West HS)
Ubel competed at the 2007 Kansas Class 6A state meet, finishing third in the 400 with a time of 57.50... qualified in the 200 and 4x400 relay but did not score under Coach Mark Hanson... was a member of the silver medal winning 4x100-meter relay and the seventh place 4x400-meter relay at the 2005 Class 5A state meet... at the 2004 Class 6A state meet, her 4x100-meter relay finished third... was a member of the National Honor Society.

Parents are Doug and Lynette Ubel... born Sept. 14, 1989... major is psychology... brother, Brandon, is a member of the Nebraska basketball team.
