Jared Gilmore specialized in the 400-meter hurdles during the outdoor season... competed at five meets... finished in the top 10 in back-to-back-to-back weeks at the Nebraska Open (9th), Ward Haylett Invitational (6th) and Nebraska Invitational (8th)... posted season-best time of 54.87 at the Ward Haylett Invitational on May 3, in Manhattan, Kan... competed only once during the indoor season... finished 34th in the 400 meters at the adidas Classic (51.76).
2007 (Sophomore)
Gilmore completed his first competitive season at Nebraska... ran sparingly during the indoor season, with top performances of 50.39 in the 400-meter dash and 1:15.38 in the 600-yard run... ran the 400-meter hurdles three times outdoors with a season-best 54.82 fifth-place showing at the Nebraska Invitational.
2006 (Sophomore)
Redshirted the 2006 season following his January transfer from Barton Country Community College... competed twice unattached in the 400-meter hurdles, running 54.88 (6th) at the Nebraska Invitational and 54.90 at the Kansas Relays.
Before Nebraska (Barton County CC)
Gilmore competed as a freshman in the 600-meter run prelims (1:24.28)... outdoors ran his personal-best of 54.16 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish seventh at the Texas-Arlington Invitational... at the Texas Relays he clocked a 54.73 in the college division 400-meter hurdles... coached by former Husker assistant Steve Smith.
High School (Buhler)
Gilmore concluded his prep career by placing in three events at the 2004 Kansas Class 4A state meet under Coach Willie Adkins... highest finish was third in the 300-meter hurdles (39.20), while placing fourth in both the 100- and 200-meter dash events.
