2009 (Redshirt Freshman)<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

Jamelle Ross competed as a Husker for the first time at the Holiday Inn Invitational, finishing 24th in the 400 meters with a time of 52.23... ran a season-best time of 51.36 the following week at the NWU Invitational to finish fifth... opened the outdoor season in the 200 meters at the Nebraska Invitational, posting a time of 22.95... ended the year at the Nebraska Quad with a ninth-place time of 50.34 in the 400 meters.

 

2008 (Freshman)

Ross redshirted during the indoor and outdoor seasons in his first year at Nebraska... competed unattached in four meets during the indoor season... ran the opening leg of the 4x400-meter relay that won the NWU Invitational (3:22.06)... posted indoor personal bests in the 200 (22.86) and 400 (51.08) meters at the Nebraska Last Chance.

 

Before Nebraska (Clearview Regional HS)

Ross competed at Clearview Regional High School under Coach Tom Hengel... was the silver medalist in the 2007 New Jersey Group III indoor state meet in the 55-meter hurdles in a career-best 7.73... also took second in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2007 Group III outdoor state meet... qualified for the state meet in the 400 meters in 2006... ran the lead-off leg of the Clearview sprint medley relay that finished sixth in the 2007 Group III Relay Championships.

 

Personal

Parents are Ed and Becky Ross... father was an outstanding hurdler at Nebraska and lettered in 1983 and 1984...brothers include current Husker hurdler, Tyrell Ross, as well as former Husker, Aaron Ross... born Sept. 27, 1988... major is criminal justice.
