2011 (Junior)
Jade Siegel (pronounced SEE-gul) finished fifth in the weight throw at the 2011 Big 12 Indoor Championships with a personal-best mark of 60-2 1/2, earning All-Big 12 honors... competed in seven meets during the indoor track and field season... also notched a 59-10 1/2 in the weight throw at the Nebraska Tune-Up on Feb. 18... earned All-Big 12 honors in the hammer throw at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships after a throw of 192-4 and a second-place finish... finished 20th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a throw of 178-1... recorded a personal best of 197-2 in the hammer throw at the Drake Relays on April 30.

2010 (Sophomore)

Siegel continued to improve in the hammer throw, as she capped the year with her first trip to the NCAA Championships... opened the indoor season by breaking her previous best of 54-3 1/4 in the weight throw with a toss of 57-1 1/2... made her first trip to the Big 12 Indoor Championships... competed in the shot put and weight throw... added distance throughtout the outdoor season in the hammer throw, as she improved her personal best five times... started the season with a best of 171-5 and ended with a throw of 193-9... top mark produced a third-place finish at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... finished 20th at the national meet following a 12th-place showing at the NCAA West Regional.

2009 (Redshirt Freshman)
Following a redshirt year in 2008, Siegel competed as a Husker for the first time in the shot put and weight throw at the Holiday Inn Invitational, finishing sixth and fourth, respectively... set a then-personal best in the weight throw to end the indoor season with a toss of 54-3 1/4 at the Nebraska Tune-Up... competed in both the shot put and hammer throw at eight of her nine outdoor meets... set a shot put personal best of 46-5 1/2 at the Ward Haylett Invitational to take fourth... cleared 170 feet in the hammer throw for the first time in her career at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a toss of 171-5 to finish sixth and earn her first All-Big 12 honor.

2008 (Freshman)
Siegel redshirted her first year at Nebraska to learn how to throw the weight and hammer... competed unattached at six meets during the indoor season in the weight throw... recorded a then-personal-best mark of 50-4 1/2 at the Prairie Wolf Invite to finish seventh... competed once in the shot put indoors at the Cornhusker Last Chance, finishing fourth at 40-6 3/4... competed unattached in the shot put at both home meets during the outdoor season.

Before Nebraska (Adams Central HS)
Seigel was the Nebraska Class B shot put champion from her sophomore through senior seasons under coaches Kevan Extrum and Sam Colvin... threw 42-5 1/4 in 2005, 42-11 in 2006 and 45-3 1/4 as a senior at the 2007 state meet... also competed as a freshman and was fifth in the shot (39-5 3/4).

Parents are Jeff and Lori Hodson... born Sept. 3, 1988... major is speech-language pathology and audiology... married to former NU track and field thrower Sam Siegel.
