2006: Gable Baldwin qualified for his third career trip to the NCAA Championships in the pole vault with a season-best performance (17-9) with his runner-up finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional... reached the final at the NCAA outdoor meet, but failed to clear the opening height of 16-8 3/4... his regional mark height was his best performance since he won the 2005 Big 12 outdoor title with a vault of 18-2 1/2... earned bronze-medal honors while clearing 17-0 3/4 at the Big 12 outdoor meet... finished seventh indoors with a vault of 16-11... fell just short of qualifying for his third consecutive NCAA meet during the indoor season with a season-best mark of 17-5 3/4, which ranked 18th nationally... notched the height while earning runner-up honors at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite... hit the regional standard three times, including a 17-0 3/4 victory at the Ward Haylett Invite... won his first three indoor meets of the year?the Holiday Inn Invite (16-4 3/4), adidas Classic (16-6 3/4) and Nebraska-Colorado State-Kent State Triangular (17-4 1/2)... was the top collegiate finisher, and second overall, in the Championship section at the Tyson Invite (17-5)... also placed first at the Prairie Wolf Invite (16-6). 2005: Baldwin made the jump to NCAA All-American and Big 12 champion in the pole vault as a sophomore... won the Big 12 outdoor crown and tied former teammate Eric Eshbach’s meet record with a vault of 18-2 1/2... the clearance tied him with teammate Ray Scotten for the nation’s second-best outdoor vault in 2005, with Baldwin twice reaching the height... vaulted 18-2 1/2 for the first time to win at the Drake Relays and shatter his previous outdoor best of 17-0 3/4 by more than a foot... reached All-America status by tying for eighth at the NCAA indoor meet with a height of 17-4 1/2... earned fourth place at the Big 12 indoor meet (17-5 1/2)... reached a career-best indoor height of 17-8 1/2 to win gold at the KSU Open... earned an at-large bid to outdoor nationals after tying for seventh (17-1) at the Midwest Regional... failed to clear opening height at the NCAA outdoor meet during the rainy preliminary round... finished runner-up indoors at both the Husker Invite (17-4 1/2) and Cyclone NCAA Qualifier (17-2 3/4). 2004: Baldwin tied for fourth in the pole vault with a height of 16-0 3/4 at the USA Junior Championships to earn Verizon Junior All-American status... earned fifth place in his first Big 12 indoor meet by clearing 16-6... set a then-personal indoor record of 17-0 3/4 at the Cyclone NCAA Qualifier, but fell a few inches short of reaching the provisional mark to qualify for the NCAA indoor meet... placed third indoors at the adidas Classic with a then-career best of 16-6 3/4... earned silver at both the Holiday Inn Invite (16-4 3/4) and season-opening Panther Open (16-0 3/4)... finished 18th outdoors at his first Midwest Regional by clearing 15-11... reached the regional qualifying standard (16-6) to win gold at the Concordia Distance Classic... height of 15-11 earned him 12th at the Big 12 outdoor meet.
