2009 (Junior)

Epley Bullock continued to grow under Gary Pepin as she cleared a personal best of 6-1 1/4 both indoors and outdoors in the high jump, and also captured her third All-America honor indoors and her first outdoors... started the year on fire, winning her first four meets of the indoor season... jumped 5-10 and 5-10 3/4 to win the Holiday Inn Invitational and Conference Challenge, respectively, both NCAA provisional-qualifying jumps... automatically qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships with a then-personal best of 6-0 3/4 at the adidas Classic... took the bar up even higher the following week at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with a leap of 6-1 1/4, tying her with Kerry Doetker (1997) for the third-best performance at NU all-time indoors... tied for second, with teammate Audrey Svane, at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with a jump of 5-8, earning Bullock All-Big 12 honors for the third straight year... cleared 5-10 3/4 to tie for sixth at the NCAA Indoor Championships to capture All-America honors for the third straight year... marked her top finish at the indoor championships... opened the outdoor season with a tie for third at the Jim Click Shootout... went on to reel off five straight wins... topped her previous best of 6-0 with a jump of 6-1 1/4 at the Penn Relays to take first... finished second at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships for the second straight year with a leap of 6-0 1/2... earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a second-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional... jumped 6-0 to tie for fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships... was honored as an outdoor All-American for the first time in her career in 2009, after placing 11th in 2008 and tying for 24th in 2007.

 

2008 (Sophomore)

Bullock continued to excel in her sophomore season, as she earned her first Big 12 championship, second NCAA All-America honor and made a trip to the U.S. Olympic Trials... won the first meet of the indoor season, the Holiday Inn Invite, with a jump of 5-6... saved her best jump of the indoor season for the Big 12 Championships... set a then-personal best with a leap of 6-0 1/2 to win her first Big 12 title... entered the Big 12 meet with a top clearance of 5-8 3/4 at the Prairie Wolf Invite... entered the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., ranked No. 8 in Division I... earned her second straight indoor All-America honor by tying for seventh (5-10 3/4) at the national meet... carried her indoor momentum to the outdoor season, placing in the top five at six of her eight meets... recorded her lone victory at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla., with a jump of 5-8 3/4... finished runner-up at both the Big 12 Outdoor Championships and NCAA Midwest Regional meet... missed out on the conference outdoor title to senior teammate Kim Shubert... recorded a season-best jump of 5-11 1/4 at home on May 31, at the NCAA Midwest Regional... entered the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, tied for the eighth-best jump in Division I... finished 11th at the national meet, 13 spots higher than her 2007 finish... ended the 2008 season at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore., among the top 26 high jumpers in the United States.

 

2007 (Freshman)

Bullock joined former Husker Heather Smith (third-1984) as NU’s only freshmen women to earn All-America honors in the high jump with a ninth-place overall (5th American) finish at her first NCAA indoor meet.... registered a top outdoor mark of 5-11 1/4 to earn the bronze medal at the Big 12 outdoor meet... received an at-large selection to the NCAA outdoor meet after tying for 11th at the NCAA Midwest Regional (5-9 1/4), but failed to repeat as an All-American... reached the regional standard during each of her eight outdoor competitions... won titles at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invite (5-10), John Jacobs Invite (5-8 3/4) and Nebraska Invite (5-10 3/4)... set her indoor season best to finish fourth in the high jump at the Big 12 indoor meet before matching the mark during the NCAA indoor competition... earned her first NCAA provisional qualification in her second meet as a Husker, as she won the event during the Big 12-Mountain West Conference Challenge by clearing 5-11 1/2... cleared 5-11 1/4 to place second at the Iowa State Classic... reached at least 5-7 in each indoor meet in 2007, including marks of at least 5-9 1/4 during her last four meets... added individual victories at the Nebraska Wesleyan (5-7) and Prairie Wolf (5-9 1/4) invites. 

 

Before Nebraska (Allen HS)

Bullock ranked fifth in the nation in 2005 with a jump of 6-0 under Coach Larry Halliburton... was a three-year qualifier to the Texas Class 5A state meet in the high jump for Allen High School, while competing as a freshman at the Class 4A state meet for Westwood in Round Rock... earned runner-up honors as a sophomore at the 2004 Texas Class 5A state meet with a personal-best mark of 6-0... cleared 6-0 as a junior to win the Region I-5A meet and advance to the 2005 state meet, where she finished third (5-9)... also finished sixth at state in the 100-meter hurdles (14.76) the same season... placed fifth in the high jump at the 2003 state meet as a freshman in 2004 (5-6)... was unable to qualify for the state meet in the high jump as a senior after an injury-plagued season... one of 10 athletes, and three Texans, named to the 2005 USA Today All-USA team... won the high school section of the 2004 Texas Relays with a leap of 5-10... finished second as a junior with the same height... named a 2004 Verizon Junior All-American after placing seventh (5-7 1/4) in the high jump at the USATF Junior Championships... won top honors at the 2004 Golden West Invitational with a height of 5-10.
