Elizabeth Marsh, also a member of the Nebraska cross country team, improved her personal best in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters during the indoor season... ran a time of 18:51.09 at the adidas Classic to improve on her previous best of 19:06.98 in the 5,000 meters... bettered her previous best of 10:47.37 in the 3,000 the following week with a 10:41.52 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... opened the outdoor season with a personal best of 18:38.61 in the 5,000 meters at the Concordia Invitational, improving on her previous best of 18:47.95.
2008 (Sophomore)
Marsh competed in four meets during the indoor season... finished seventh in the mile at the NWU Invite and seventh in the 5,000 meters at the adidas Classic... top finish during the outdoor season came at the Nebraska Open, placing sixth in the 1,500 meters.
2007 (Freshman)
Marsh showed good improvement during her freshman season... improved her time in the 5,000 meters by nearly 25 seconds over the indoor season, improving to a time of 19:06.98... bettered that time during the outdoor campaign, with a then-personal-best of 18:47.95 at the John Jacobs Invitational.
Before Nebraska (Wichita East HS)
Marsh qualified for the Kansas 6A state meet all four years at Wichita East High School under Coach Michael Draut, competing in both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter events at each state meet... registered a sixth-place finish in the 3,200 as a sophomore in 2004... earned seventh place in the event as a senior in 2006 and as a freshman in 2003... recorded her best 1,600-meter finish at the state meet (eighth) as a sophomore... was a member of the National Honor Society... chose Nebraska over Wichita State, Kansas State and South Carolina.
