2003: Derric Werner redshirted in 2003... threw unattached only once in the outdoor season. High School: Longest discus throw of 196-11, which won the District C-7 meet, tied the 10th longest throw in the prep ranks for 2002 and established the longest throw by a Nebraska Class C athlete... won the Class C discus in 2000 (165-1), 2001 (182-7), and 2002 (176-4)... the 2001 throw won the all-class gold medal... finished second in the 2002 Class C shot (58-1 1/4) after winning in 2000 and 2001... fourth in the 2002 Golden West Invitational discus (178-8) in <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Sacramento, Calif.  Personal: High school coach was Aaron Bradley... major is exercise science... parents are Larry and Vicky Werner... born March 22, 1983.
