2006: Danute Ceika (pronounced DAWN-uh-tay SAY-ka) earned her seventh all-conference honor with a sixth-place finish in the 1,000-meter run at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with a time of 2:54.49... focused primarily on the 800 meters both indoors and outdoors... ran her indoor season best of 2:14.15 at the Iowa State Classic... clocked a season-best 2:13.98 outdoors to earn fourth place at the Emporia State Relays... finished runner-up in the 1,000 meters in a season-best 2:57.01 at the Nebraska-Colorado State-Kent State Triangular. 2005: Ceika set a personal-best time of 2:49.30 in the 1,000 meters to earn fourth place at the Big 12 indoor meet... finished eighth in the 800 meters at the Big 12 outdoor meet in a regional-qualifying 2:09.08... competed in the 800 at the NCAA Midwest Regional, finishing fourth in her 800-meter preliminary heat with a season-best time of 2:08.26... reached her first regional-qualifying mark of 2:09.23 to nab fourth place at the Drake Relays... finished runner-up at both the Kansas Relays (2:12.45) and Emporia State Relays (2:13.08)... ran the anchor leg of the fourth-fastest 4x800-meter relay in NU history at the Drake Relays (8:43.55)... won the Holiday Inn Invite in the mile (5:07.05) and 4x400-meter relay (3:46.29). 2004: Ceika topped off a solid freshman season by competing in both the NCAA indoor and outdoor meets... ran 2:11.52 in the preliminary round of the 800 meters at outdoor nationals, but did not advance to the finals... advanced to the national meet after taking fifth at the Midwest Regional in a time of 2:08.57... was fifth at the Big 12 outdoor meet in the 800 (2:09.08) and was a member of the seventh-place 4x400-meter relay team... won the K.T.
