2007 (Freshman) 
Smith marked a personal best of 39-11 1/4 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships for 15th place... recorded a top  leap of 41-5 in the triple jump to finish 13th at the Big 12 Championships... went on to compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional where she finished 20th with a jump of 39-11 1/2.

 

High School (Bellevue West)
Smith earned medals at the Nebraska Class A state meet each of her final three years at Bellevue West High School under Coach Craig Christians... concluded her prep career with her second consecutive silver-medal finish in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 38-10 3/4 at the 2006 Class A state meet... her mark was the fifth-longest jump in Nebraska prep history...  placed second as a junior in 2005 (38-3) and third in the triple jump as a sophomore in 2004 (36-7)... ran the second leg of the 2006 Class A and All-Class Gold Medal winning 4x100-meter relay (48.83)... was the 2005 USATF Nebraska Junior Olympic triple jump champion.
