2005: Chase Beideck redshirted during both indoor and outdoor seasons in his first year at Nebraska... competed unattached indoors in the shot put at the Holiday Inn Invitational (54-0 1/2), adidas Classic (53-11 1/4) and Husker Invitational (51-11 1/4)... competed unattached outdoors in the discus at the Nebraska Wesleyan Twilight (168-6) and Nebraska Invitational (161-6). Nebraska-Kearney: Beideck had an excellent freshman season at the University of Nebraska-Kearney that included qualifying for both the NCAA Division II Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the shot put... finished 10th indoors and 12th outdoors... longest indoor throw (54-11 1/4) came at the Charlie Foster Classic... outdoor season best of 54-7 1/4 claimed the shot put bronze at the 2004 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships... discus best of 148-10 was spun at the Alex Francis Invitational...
