USC: Brysun Stately transferred to Nebraska during the summer from USC, where she earned NCAA All-America honors in her first season... tied for sixth in the pole vault at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a height of 13-3 1/2... was the lone freshman among the 16 event finalists... earned an at-large bid to the NCAA meet after placing eighth at the NCAA West Regional (12-11 3/4)... set the Trojans’ school record with a vault of 13-7 1/4 that placed fourth at the Pac-10 Conference meet... recorded her indoor career-best height of 13-5 3/4 to tie for second at the Washington NCAA Qualifier in Seattle, Wash.... qualified to compete at the NCAA indoor meet, where she no heighted. High School: Stately experienced an outstanding prep career at Cordova High School that featured the 2005 California state pole vault title... cleared 13-4 as a senior to win the state crown in her first appearance at the California state meet... boasted only a personal best of 11-0 entering her senior season... followed her state title with a third-place finish (12-4 3/4) at the 2005 U.S. Junior Championships in Carson, Calif.... ranked tied for fourth nationally among all high school girls in 2005 with a clearance of 13-6... the mark is still tied for eighth on the U.S. all-time high school charts... selected to the 2005 USA Today All-USA HIgh School Track and Field Team... won the 2005 Golden West Invitational pole vault title (13-2)... attended Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks, Calif., prior to her senior year.
