2008 (Senior)

Bryan Bell competed in the weight throw at seven meets during the indoor season... placed in the top 10 at every meet, including five top-five finishes... won the Prairie Wolf (63-1 3/4) and adidas Classic with season-best throw of 63-4... earned first conference indoor medal with a throw of 61-1 3/4 to finish seventh... competed eight times during the outdoor season in the hammer throw... finished in the top 15 at every meet... posted back-to-back top-three finishes at the Ward Haylett Invitational (third, 193-7) and Nebraska Invitational (second, 188-7)... scored at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships for the second straight year, finishing seventh (194-5).... qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional for the second straight year... threw over 60 meters for the first time in career at the NCAA Regional... finished ninth with a toss of 197-11 (60.23)... ended Nebraska career ranked in the top 10 in both the weight throw (7th; 64-3 1/4) and hammer throw (8th; 197-11).

 

2007 (Junior)

Bell opened the season with personal records in the weight throw in Nebraska’s first three meets of the season... earned top indoor finishes of fourth at the Holiday Inn Invite (59-7 1/2) and at the Prairie Wolf Invite (60-6 1/2)... finished 11th at his first Big 12 Championships with a toss of 59-8 1/2... threw the discus and the hammer throw during the outdoor season... set a season-best of 152-2 in the discus at the Nebraska Invite on May 5... made major improvements in the hammer throw, tossing a then-personal best 184-10 at the Nebraska Open to finish third and qualify for the NCAA Midwest Regional... set a PR for the second week in a row with a toss of 190-6 to finish seventh and earn all-conference honors at the Big 12 Championships... finished 20th (173-8) at the NCAA Midwest Region Championships.

 

2006 (Redshirt) 

Competed unattached once outdoors in 2006 after transferring to NU and recorded a mark of 150-8 in the hammer at the Nebraska Invite.

Bell joined Nebraska after competing for ValparaisoUniversity (Ind.) in the throws in 2004 and 2005... set the Crusaders’ school record of 56-11 1/4 in the indoor weight throw while finishing fourth at the 2005 Redbird Invitational in Normal,Ill.... finished eighth in both the shot put and weight throw at the 2005 Mid-Continent Conference Indoor Championships and eighth in the shot and fourth in the discus at the outdoor conference meet... as a freshman, scored in the conference indoors in the shot put (seventh) and weight (fifth) and outdoors by tying for fifth in the shot.

 

High School (Bellevue East)

Bell reached the Nebraska Class A state meet his final two years at BellevueEastHigh School under Coach Daryl Berg... did not place either year in the shot put.
