Beth Christensen competed in the javelin at six meets during the outdoor season, finishing in the top seven at every meet... opened the season with a seventh-place showing at the Jim Click Shootout (118-3; 36.04)... recorded personal-best throw one week later at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla., with a toss of 121-0 (36.99)... finished first at the Doane Relays (120-11; 36.86)... ended the season at the Nebraska Invitational with a runner-up finish.

2007 (Freshman) 
Christensen redshirted her first year at <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Nebraska... competed unattached outdoors in three meets.

 

High School (Bennington)
Christensen arrived at Nebraska following a standout prep career at BenningtonHigh School under Coach Steve Harshman... owns the Badgers’ school record in the discus of 137-11... was a four-year qualifier to the Nebraska Class C state meet in the discus... earned runner-up honors as a senior in 2006 with a mark of 128-10... did not place in the state meet during her other three appearances... threw her personal-best discus mark of 137-11 at the Yutan Invitational... was a member of the National Honor Society.

Major is pre-nursing... parents are Don and Denise Christensen... brother is Husker offensive lineman Andy Christensen... born Oct. 8, 1987.
