Austin Braman came back in 2011 to post a season-best throw of 216-0 to take sixth at the Kansas Relays on April 23... came in first in the javelin with a mark of 211-7 at the Nebraska Open... finished fourth at the Tom Jones Invitational with a throw of 209-6... Braman took seventh at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, notching a throw of 202-4 and earning All-Big 12 honors.

Braman missed the entire 2010 season due to recovery from offseason elbow surgery
2009 (Sophomore)
Braman battled through an arm injury during the outdoor season, limiting him to only three meets... opened the year at the Stanford Invitational, throwing 173-0 in the javelin to finish 12th in the invite-only division... took third-place honors at the John McDonnell Invitational with a toss of 208-8... was shut down for the year following the Nebraska Quad, where he finished fifth with a toss of 196-4.
2008 (Freshman)
Braman made an immediate impact on the Nebraska throws squad in his freshman year... posted a personal-best throw of 224-1 in the javelin at his first collegiate meet, ranking as the seventh-best throw in Nebraska history... finished first at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla... came in second at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Boulder, Colo., with a throw of 211-4... earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, recording the seventh-best throw in the preliminaries... finished 12th in the finals with throw of 205-2.
Before Nebraska (Chanute HS)
Braman had the third-longest throw in the nation by an American prep (217-2) in 2007... his personal best came at the 2007 Kansas Class 4A Regional in Iowa, Kan. ... the throw was the fourth best on the Kansas prep all-time chart, the second best in Kansas for the season and the longest ever in Class 4A... won the 2007 Class 4A title (208-7), which was a new Class 4A state meet record... also won the state title in 2005 as a sophomore... finished third as a junior despite having a limited season due to a strained rib muscle.
