Arna Erega (pronounced ARE-nah AIR-reg-a) continued to preform well for the Huskers in the hurdles, while also developing into a triple jump threat for the Huskers... competed in three meets during the indoor season before sitting out with a hamstring injury... returned healthy for the outdoor season, where she set personal bests in the 100 hurdles and triple jump... broke her previous best of 13.56 in the 100 hurldes at the Jim Click Shootout with a time of 13.55... improved the time even more with a 13.44 at the Texas Tech Dual... earned two medals at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... placed sixth in the hurdles and fourth in the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 41-7 3/4... cleared a wind-aid best of 41-10 3/4 at the NCAA West Regional in the triple jump.
2009 (Sophomore)
Erega started her sophomore season with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at the Holiday Inn Invitational... provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships one week later with a season-best and first-place time of 8.40 at the Conference Challenge... earned another win at the adidas Classic (8.44)... finished fourth in the preliminaries at the Big 12 Indoor Championships, and then improved one spot in the finals to take third with a time of 8.47... opened the outdoor campaign with a season best of 13.82 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Jim Click Shootout to place second... won back-to-back meets at the Nebraska Quad and Concordia Twilight... ended the season with a 13th-place showing at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships and a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
2008 (Freshman)
Erega was a key addition to the Husker hurdle squad in her first year at Nebraska, earning a medal at her first Big 12 Indoor Championships... competed at seven meets during the indoor season in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing first or second at five meets... recorded a season-best time at the adidas Classic (8.42)... finished seventh at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with a time of 8.55... ran the 100-meter hurdles six times during the outdoor season... finished second at the Jim Click Shootout in Tucson, Ariz., with a time of 14.01... ran the opening leg on the 100-meter shuttle hurdle relay team at the Drake Relays that set the school record with a time of 55.18... posted a season-best time of 14.00 in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships...competed in her home country of Croatia at the senior national championships during the summer of 2008... won the long jump with a leap of 19-2 and finished runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.10.

Erega won the Croatian Junior National title in the 100-meter hurdles from 2005 to 2007... prior to that, won the 100 hurdles title at the Croatian Youth Championships... finished fifth in the 100 hurdles at the 2007 European Championships (13.65)... reached the semifinals of the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the 2006 World Junior Championships held in Beijing, China... owns the Croatia national junior record in the 100 hurdles (13.56)... also owns the Croatian national youth record (13.52) in the 30-inch hurdles... set the Croatian national junior record (8.30) at the 2007 Croatian Under-20 indoor championships in the prelims and won the 60-meter hurdle title in 8.36... owns the world-best result for 14-year-old females in the 100-meter hurdles (13.68).
