2004: Anne Shadle (pronounced Annie SHAY-dull) won her first Big 12 indoor title in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:48.49... won silver behind teammate Ann Gaffigan in the steeplechase (10:38.06) at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... clocked 10:43.60 to finish fourth in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship and automatically qualify for nationals... competed in the steeplechase at the outdoor national meet, but did not qualify for the finals with a time of 11:07.54... finished third in the 800 meters at the Jim Click Shootout after winning the steeplechase in 10:40.69... won silver in the 800 in 2:15.24 and won gold in the 1,500 meters in 4:33.04 at the K.T. Woodman Classic...finished eighth in the 800 in 2:16.20 and was fourth in the 1,500 (4:30.28) at the Ward Haylett Invitational... ran the 1,200-meter leg on the women’s distance medley relay team that clocked an NCAA-qualifying time of 11:17.91 (oversize track) at the Alex Wilson Invitational... set her personal-best time of 2:48.48 in the 1,000 to win the Prairie Wolf Invitational... ran her career-best time of 2:11.48 in the 800-meter run the following day to take third place in the adidas Classic... notched an NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 4:47.74 in the mile run in a fourth-place finish at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational. 2003: Shadle set the previous Nebraska school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase en route to automatically qualifying for her first NCAA Championship appearance, with a time of 10:36.49 and a third-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships... improved the school record at the national meet with a time of 10:32.21 for a 20th-place finish... ran a career-best time of 4:29.96 in the 1,500 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays... qualified for the NCAA regionals with a silver in the steeplechase at the Ward Haylett Invitational... struggled with the heat at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, finishing ninth in the steeplechase... finished fourth in the 1,000-meter run in 2:52.30 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships... anchored the distance medley relay team that finished fourth at the Big 12 Indoor Championships... won the 1,000 meters in 2:56.64 at the Northern Iowa Invitational... clocked 4:52.20 in the mile run at the Holiday Inn Invitational. 2002: Shadle finished sixth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase... helped set a Nebraska school record (20:08.00) in the 4x1,600 meters at the Drake Relays... ran a season indoor best of 5:05.89 in the mile at the Nebraska Last Chance Meet... ran her season-best of 2:58.79 in the 1,000 at the Prairie Wolf Invitational.
