Aisha Bourke redshirted her first year with the Huskers... competed unattached in two indoor meets... set a personal-best indoor mark of 11-1 (3.38) at the Nebraska Tune-Up... competed unattached in two outdoor meets... posted a personal-best mark of 11-7 in the pole vault at the Nebraska Invitational on May 5... was named to the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 Nebraska Honor Roll.
Before Nebraska (Elm Creek Public School)
Bourke joined the Huskers' pole vault squad after an impressive career at Elm Creek High School... won the state All-Class Gold in pole vault as a senior... was the Class C state record holder in pole vault at 11-6 1/4... holds Elm Creek, Arapahoe, Elmwood and Fort Kearney Conference meet and stadium records... a three-time state qualifier in track and field... earned honorable-mention all-state accolades in both volleyball and basketball... class valedictorian... academic all-state in volleyball, basketball and track.
