2005: Aaron Nasers clocked a personal-best time of 1:47.43 to finish fourth in the 800 meters at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... the time ranks sixth on NU’s all-time outdoor 800-meter chart... just missed qualifying for the finals of the 800 at the NCAA Midwest Regional after finishing 10th during the preliminary round (1:50.28)... earned fourth place in the 1,000 meters at the Big 12 indoor meet with a time of 2:25.45... won the 800 indoors at the adidas Classic (1:51.23) and outdoors at the Nebraska Invitational (1:49.48)... registered his first regional-qualifying mark of 1:49.85 outdoors at the John Jacobs Invitational... claimed fourth place at the Kansas Relays in 1:52.15... met the NCAA provisional-qualifying standard at the Iowa State Classic with an indoor season-best time of 1:49.21... also helped set a provisional mark in the distance medley relay at the Alex Wilson Invitational in 9:36.75 (oversized), the second-fastest mark in school history... finished third in the 800 at the Husker Invitational (1:52.07). 2004: Nasers joined the Nebraska track team as a transfer in the 2004 spring semester after it was announced that the Western Michigan track and field program was being cut... earned his first NCAA All-America honor with a ninth-place finish (fifth American) in the 800-meter run at the NCAA Indoor Championships in a time of 1:48.83... set the school record of 1:48.37 in the indoor 800 meters at the Prairie Wolf Invitational, before it was broken by teammate Dmitrijs Milkevic’s current mark of 1:47.82... rewrote the NU record in the 1,000 meters at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with his second-place time of 2:22.12... just missed qualifying for the 800-meter finals at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a time of 1:51.32... placed ninth in the 1,500 meters at the outdoor conference meet after clocking a personal-best 3:51.25 in the preliminary round... finished eighth in his preliminary heat of the 800-meter run in 1:51.80 at the NCAA Midwest Region Championships... clocked his first NCAA indoor automatic-qualifying time of 1:48.10 in the 800 meters on an oversized track at the Cyclone NCAA Qualifier at Iowa State... won the 800-meter race in 1:50.46 at the Drake Relays during the outdoor season... also placed first in the 1,500 meters (3:56.99) at the Jim Click Shootout... won bronze in the mile run (4:08.17) in the adidas Classic... took sixth place in his first 800-meter race against teammate Dmitrijs Milkevics with a time of 1:51.30 in the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... won the mile in 4:12.82 in the Holiday Inn Invitational. Western Michigan: Indoors, Nasers recorded a 4:10.21 in the mile and 1:52.86 in the 800 meters in 2002... outdoors, ran a 1:49.67 over 800 meters for a Western Michigan freshman record. High School: Nasers had a busy career at Pennfield (Mich.) High School, lettering in four sports--track (four), soccer (three), wrestling (two) and cross country (one)... led the Panthers to within one point of a state track title as a senior in 2002, as he won the Michigan Class C 800-meter run in 1:54.51 and the 1,600 meters in 4:21.29... as a junior won the same state titles with times of 1:54.35 and 4:17.4.
