2022-23: Sophomore
Jillian Roa competed in 14 singles matches this season. She played at two different positions, posting a 5-6 record at No. 6 and a 2-0 mark at No. 5. Roa closed the season by being honored with Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award and earning a spot on the 2023 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2021-22: Freshman 
Roa saw action in her freshman season at Nebraska. She finished with an overall singles record of 6-7. In doubles, she went 2-4 on the season and was partnered with Vivien Sandberg, Lucy Loy, Samantha Alicea and Isabel Adrover Gallego. 
 
In the classroom, Roa became a member of the 2022 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team  

Before Nebraska
Roa was a standout player in high school where she won the singles junior ITF title in Skopje, Macedonia. Roa was also regional U18 Champion of the Balearic Islands, and she reached the singles finals in a junior ITF in La Nucia, Spain. Off the court, Roa received an award for Academic Excellence for having the top grade in her class and one of the highest on the Balearic Islands. Roa chose Nebraska over Michigan State and Louisville. 

Personal
The daughter of Florencio Roa and Loraine Yap, Jillian was born on July 18, 2003 in Phoenix, Ariz., and was raised in La Crescenta, Calif. Jillian has one brother, Lucas. During her high school years, Jillian lived and trained away from her family at the Global Tennis Team, a tennis academy in Mallorca, Spain. An Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar, she earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2023. She is a three-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. Nebraska's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for women's tennis in 2023, she is also a two-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
