Honors and Awards
• Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (Fall: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009; Spring: 2008, 2009)

2009: Jacob Ives stepped up during his senior season for the Huskers, becoming a consistent competitor on floor exercise, vault and parallel bars throughout the year. Ives held season-high scores of 13.10 on floor exercise, 15.25 on vault and 13.45 on high bar. He ended his senior season with a score of 15.15 on vault in the NCAA Championship team qualifying round.

In addition to his success in the gym, Ives earned a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the fall of 2008.

2008: Although he did not compete during his junior season, Ives remained steady in the classroom with Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll accolades during the fall of 2007 and spring of 2008.

2007: Ives competed in one meet for the Huskers in 2007, performing on the parallel bars at the Rocky Mountain Open.

2006: Ives made his collegiate debut at the Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 13 on the floor exercise, vault and parallel bars before notching a season-high floor score of 7.15 the following weekend at the Stanford Open on Jan. 21. Ives earned a season-high vault score of 8.05 against Minnesota on Feb. 18 for third place in the event and posted a season-high parallel bars score of 8.30 against Oklahoma and Stanford on March 11. He finished the season by competing on the parallel bars at the 2006 NCAA Championships.

Prior: A product of Houston North Gymnastics, Ives was a three-time Junior Olympics national qualifier before coming to Nebraska. As proficient in the classroom as he is in the gym, Ives was a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta while attending Mayde Creek High School, where he graduated with high honors.

Personal: The son of Russell and Regina Ives, Jacob was born on March 26, 1987, in Slidell, La. He is one of five children in the Ives household, including two brothers, Jared and T.J., and two sisters, Sara and Hannah. Jacob is an actuarial sciences major at Nebraska.
