Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Fall: 2007; Spring: 2008)
2007-08 Outlook
After only competing two years in Indiana high school bowling competitions, Kayla Rhoades found more success in individual bowling. During her short tenure with team bowling, Rhoades was named the 2005 Female High Average Bowler and was a 2005 state semifinalist in her high school bowling conference. Rhoades was also a Junior Olympics Gold national finialist in 2007. In addition to claiming the Lafayette Youth City Tournament female all-events championship three years in a row (2005, 2006, 2007), Rhoades bowled two 300 games as a junior bowler.
"Kayla is a ball of fire," Nebraska Coach Bill Straub said. "She has decided personally that she's not going to let anybody on the team beat her out of a starting spot. Her attitude is terrific in that regard."
