Jill Kurbyun (pronounced KER-BEE-YUN) redshirted during the 2005-06 season.

2005-06 Review 
Kurbyun, from Hoffman Estates, Ill., was a walk-on for the Huskers. According to Nebraska Coach Bill Straub, one of Kurbyun’s considerations for being a walk-on was her outstanding academic achievement. In high school, Kurbyun was chosen to be the Great Northwest Bowling Team captain for two years. She was also her high school bowling team captain from 2002 until 2005. Kurbyun earned the Hoffman Estates High School Female Athlete-of-the-Year award, and was an MVP in both bowling and soccer.
