Jamie Martin, an Omaha, Neb. native, finished her last year with the Husker bowling team on an impressive note.  She used her experience and leadership skills to guide the Huskers to a third-place finish in the NCAA Tournament in April 2006.  Over 61 games played, Martin held a pinfall of 12,342 and an average of 205.7.  Martin's best finish came at the Arkansas State Invitational on Feb. 5, 2006, where she placed second with a 213.6 average over five games.  Martin graduated from Nebraska in the spring commencement ceremonies with a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science.

As a junior, Martin competed in all nine tournaments. In 51 games, Martin averaged 196.353 and had a pinfall average of 10,014. Martin captured her first career crown at the Coca-Cola Invitational in Las Vegas with a 207 average. She held four top-five finishes, including a third-place finish at the Nashville Classic with a 202 average. She placed fourth in the Whitewater Invitational and the Minnesota State Invitational. 2003-04 Review
Martin rolled out an impressive sophomore season competing in eight tournaments, including the NCAA Championships. She averaged a 206.364 in 55 games, an average that ranked eighth in school history. She averaged 190 or better in all eight tournaments, including a trio of top-10 efforts. Martin placed third at both the Whitewater Invitational with an average of 214.50 and at the Triad Women’s Classic one week later, setting her personal-best average of 227.

2002-03 Review
Martin played an instrumental role in 2002-03, competing in six tournaments as a redshirt freshman. Her average of 187.031 ranked fourth on the team, while she competed in 32 games. Martin’s average (seventh), total pinfall (eighth) and games played (eight) all cracked the school’s top-10 list for freshmen. She struggled in the first half of the year, averaging a 179 in her first three events, but closed with a flourish, increasing her average by 15 pins (194.15) over her final three tournaments. She posted averages of 190 or better in her final two events, and turned in her best career finish at the ACU-I Regional, placing sixth with a pinfall of 1,779 to clinch an appearance at nationals for the Huskers.
