2003-04 Review
The lone senior on the squad, Christina Perez played a major role in the fortunes of the 2003-04 Huskers. The San Diego, Calif., native stepped to the forefront last season, competing in every regular-season tournament and posting four top-25 finishes. In her final year, Perez competed in four tournaments and helped the Huskers to its first NCAA tournament title.

2002-03 Review
Perez enjoyed her best year at NU, competing in all eight regular-season tournaments, bowling a total of 60 games. She ranked among the team leaders with a 185.97average and posted four top-25 finishes. Her best effort came at the National Team Match Games, where she finished seventh with an average of 211.11.

2001-02 Review
Perez was a part-time starter for the Huskers,competing in six tourneys and averaging a 194.15 in 26 games. She turned in her best performances at the Mid-States Invitational, where she averaged a 225.83 in six games, and at the TVEBA Classic, where she finished seventh with an average of 207.50.

2000-01 Review
Perez was a backup for the Huskers in tournament play, bowling a total of 38 games. She had a season-best 1,749 pinfall in nine games at the National Team Match Games and a high average of 213.500 to place third at the Great Lakes Classic.

Before Nebraska/Personal
Perez was an experienced regional and national junior bowler. She was selected as a member of the 1998 San Diego Junior All-Stars. The daughter of Richard and Debra Perez, Christina was born on Aug. 14, 1979. Perez, who has one brother, majored in history and was on the Big 12 Commissioners’ Honor Roll last spring. She is a candidate for NCBCA academic All-America honors, carrying a 3.51GPA entering her senior year.
