Before Nebraska
Morgan bowled her first season collegiately at Prairie View A&M and earned second-team All-SWAC honors as a freshman in 2016-17. Her efforts as a freshman helped the Panthers to a SWAC regular-season championship.
Morgan was a three-time first-team All-District performer at Killeen High School in Killeen, Texas, as well as a three-time individual state qualifier. She also helped her team qualify to the state tournament in three seasons. In 2015, she led her team to a second-place finish in both district and region play and a 12th-place finish in the state. She finished 28th individually in the state in 2014. Morgan bowled a high game of 279 in high school, and a high series of 750. She also participated in volleyball in high school. Morgan was a two-time honor roll recipient at Killeen.
Personal
The daughter of Robert and Jennifer Morgan, Amanda was born on June 18, 1998. She has one brother, Joshua. Morgan is majoring in marketing and earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2017. She claimed a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2018.
