2025-26 (Freshman)
Abigail Starkey made her Husker program debut during her freshman year, competing in three of nine regular season tournaments. Starkey bowled 43.9 total games, seven of those being individual, where she averaged 189.3. She recorded a season-high 248 at the Colonial Lanes Classic in late November and averaged a season high 198.6 points over those three games.Starkey finished the season with a total pinfall of 1,358 and an average score of 194.0 over 7 games. In her season debut at the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic, Starkey took home Tournament MVP Honors. Starkey excelled academically, earning a spot on the CUSA Commissioners Honor Roll, and is a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team, and the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.

Before Nebraska
Abigail, a right-handed bowler, hails from Schaumburg, Ill. Competing since age eight, Starkey has achieved an immense bowling resume. A four-time Youth Open champion, Starkey has been selected to Junior Team USA three times, most recently in January 2026. She is also a three-time PBA Junior Champion in addition to being crowned champion at the Parker Bohn Scholarship Tournament twice. Along with bowling, Starkey played softball as a pitcher until age 12.

Personal
The daughter of Brad and Beth Starkey, Abigail is majoring in Child, Youth and Family Science. Her career goals are to become a sports psychologist and bowl professionally. She earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2025. She was also a member of the 2026 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
