Before Nebraska

• Wrestled at Plainview High School in Plainview, Neb., for Coach Dean Boyer
• Posted a 169-2 record on the way to four state championships
• Went 50-0 on the way to the 2017 Nebraska Class D state championship at 138 pounds in 2017
• Won the 126-pound state championship as a junior in 2016
• Took the 113-pound Nebraska Class C state championship as a sophomore in 2015
• Went 45-0 en route to the Nebraska Class D state title as a freshman in 2014
• Also played football and ran track and cross country in high school
• Two-time state qualifier in cross country
