2022
Indoor: Was a USTFCCCA first-team All-American in the shot put for the third year in a row with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships (20.43m/67-0.5), the best finish by a Husker male in the shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships since 2004...won the Big Ten Indoor Championships shot put title for the second year in a row (20.19m/66-3)...named Big Ten Men's Field Athlete of the Year for the second straight year...was the shot put champion at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational (20.05m/65-9.5) and was named Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week following his performance. 

Outdoor: Earned USTFCCCA second-team All-America honors after finishing 15th in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (19.10m/62-8) for his fifth-career All-America accolade...earned the bronze medal at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a throw of 19.48m/63-11...had his best throw of the season, 19.60m/64-3.75, at the NCAA West Preliminary Round...finished 12th in the discus at the Big Ten meet at 52.67m/172-10.

2021
Indoor: Was a USTFCCCA first-team All-American with a fifth-place finish in the shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships...was named the Big Ten Men’s Field Athlete of the Year, becoming the first-ever Nebraska men’s track and field athlete to win a Big Ten Athlete of the Year Award...at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, shattered his previous shot put personal best with a gold-medal winning throw of 67-4 3/4 (20.54m) on his fifth attempt, which won the event by more than two feet...for his effort at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, was selected the Big Ten Field Athlete of the Championships...moved up to No. 2 on the all-time Nebraska men’s indoor shot put chart behind Carl Myerscough (70-6 1/4, 21.49m).

Outdoor: Finished runner-up in shot put with a heave of 65-7 (19.99m) and fifth in discus with a mark of 182-8 (55.68m) at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships…Placed ninth in shot put (63-5, 19.33m) at NCAA Prelims and qualified for NCAA Outdoor Championships…Captured wins in the shot put at Husker Big Ten Invite and M City Classic.

2020
Indoor: Gained USTFCCCA All-America accolades by qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Championships as the 11th seed in the shot put before the meet was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic...earned second-team All-Big Ten honors finishing as the runner-up in the shot put at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a mark of 63-9 (19.43m)...set a PR in the shot put at the adidas Classic with a throw of 64-8 (19.71m), the No. 4 mark in school history...also recorded a weight throw PR of 67-9 (20.65m) at the Nebraska Tune-Up, good for the No. 5 mark in NU history in the event...captured the shot put crown at both the adidas Classic and Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational...also qualified for the Big Ten Indoor Championships in the weight throw.

Outdoor: Season canceled due to COVID-19. 

2019
Indoor: Placed fourth in the shot put at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a toss of 61-5 (18.72m)...was the runner-up in the shot put at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite with a season-best throw of 62-1 1/4 (18.93m), good for the No. 6 throw in school history at the time...won the shot put at the Nebraska Tune-Up...had a season-best distance of 59-10 1/2 (18.25m) in the weight throw at the Graduate Classic...also qualified for the Big Ten Championships in the weight throw.

Outdoor: Finished 14th in the shot put at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 62-0 1/2 (18.91m) to earn USTFCCCA second-team All-America honors...had the No. 6 shot put throw in school history at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a PR of 63-6 (19.35m) to place seventh and finished 16th in the discus with a toss of 178-10 (54.51m)...earned a personal-best throw of 188-5 (57.43m) in the discus at the Kansas Relays...won the shot put at the Herm Wilson Invitational and Texas Tech Shootout...claimed the discus title at the Herm Wilson Invitational and Texas Relays.

2018
Indoor: Finished 10th in the shot put at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a throw of 58-5 1/4 (17.81m)...finished second in the shot put at the Mark Colligan Memorial with a throw of 59-8 1/4 (18.19m).

Outdoor: Finished 12th at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the shot put with a heave of 55-11 (17.04m)...finished second at the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout with a throw of 62-5 (19.02m) in the shot put, good for No. 9 in NU history...won the shot put at the Kansas Relays...placed fifth in the discus at the UCSD Triton Invitational with a throw of 177-1 (53.97m).

Before Nebraska
Placed eighth in the shot put at the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland...finished fourth in the shot put at the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships...set a 5 kilo shot put best of 68-9 3/4 (20.97m), the fourth-best throw in the world for his age group...also ranked fourth in the world in the 1.5 kilo discus with a mark of 208-5 (63.52m)...set a 6 kilo shot put PR of 64-10 1/2 (19.77m) and a 1.75 kilo discus PR of 187-8 (57.20m).

Personal
Born Aug. 6, 1998...parents are Burger and Deirdre...father, Burger Sr., was a two-time Olympic shot putter and three-time African champion...a mechanized systems management major who earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2022.
