"She will be a great asset to our program in both singles and doubles," Head Coach Scott Jacobson said. "We are adding to a nucleus that we believe will help us compete for future Big Ten Championships. She truly understands the importance of team chemistry and the importance of being surrounded by people who care for each other."

Why Maja Chose Nebraska
"I chose Nebraska because of the very kind and positive people. The school is smaller, and I got the feeling that people are very connected, and they like to help each other. I was impressed most about the resources and the school support for athletes in every possible way."

Personal
A marketing major at Nebraska, Makoric earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2022. She is a two-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. She is a two-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
