2020 (Unattached/COVID-19 Pandemic)
Indoor: Exhausted his indoor elgibility in 2019 and competed unattached in 2020...recorded a season-best pole vault clearance of 17-2 1/4 (5.24m) at the Prairie Wolf Invitational to win the event.

Outdoor: Due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 2020 outdoor season was not contested. To help combat the spread of the virus, both the Big Ten Conference and the University of Nebraska suspended all team activities, effective March 13.

2019 (Senior/Medical Redshirt)
Indoor: Finished 11th in the pole vault at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a clearance of 16-4 1/2 (4.99m)...set a PR of 17-5 1/2 (5.32m) at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational, good to tie for the No. 10 mark all-time in program history...won the pole vault title at the Graduate Classic and Mark Colligan Invitational.

Outdoor: Set a season-best height of 17-4 1/2 (5.30m) at the Texas Relays...won the pole vault crown at the Herm Wilson Invitational...missed the rest of the season after the second outdoor meet due to injury and received a medical hardship.

2018 (Junior)
Indoor: Finished sixth in the pole vault at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a mark of 16-8 (5.08m)...won the pole vault at both the Graduate Classic and Gorilla Classic.

Outdoor: Finished fourth in the pole vault at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a mark of 17-3 (5.26m)...won the Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Invitational with a clearance of 17-3 1/2 (5.27m)...recorded a personal-best mark of 17-4 1/2 (5.30m), good to tie for No. 10 in NU history and placed second at the John McDonnell Invitational.

2017 (Sophomore)
Indoor: Competed in four regular-season meets...set a season best and took first at the Nebraska Tune-Up with a mark of 17-3 3/4 (5.28m).

Outdoor: Finished third at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a clearance of 17-1 (5.21m)...finished 24th at the NCAA West Preliminary Round...placed second and posted a season best at the John Jacobs Invitational with a mark of 17-1 1/2 (5.22m).

2016 (Redshirt Freshman)
Indoor: Set a season best of 16-8 (5.08m) at the Big Ten Indoor Championships to finish eighth...competed in seven indoor meets in the pole vault...cleared 16-7 1/4 (5.06m) at three meets...placed fourth at the Holiday Inn Invitational and Mark Colligan Memorial.

Outdoor: Set an outdoor season best in the pole vault at the Husker Spring Invitational with a mark of 16-6 (5.03m) for third place...competed in four outdoor meets.

2015 (Redshirt)
Indoor: Redshirted...competed unattached...set a season best in the pole vault of 16-5 1/4 (5.01m) at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite.

Outdoor: Redshirted...competed unattached...placed sixth in the pole vault at the Nebraska Invite with a mark of 16-5 1/4 (5.01m).

Before Nebraska
Joined the Huskers from Fillmore Central High School in Geneva, Nebraska...was the Nebraska all-class state champion in the pole vault, setting a state meet record of 16-2 1/2 (4.94m)...was named the 10/11 Prep Athlete of the Week after clearing 15-9 1/2 (4.81m) at the Southern Nebraska Conference meet to break the Class C record.

Born Feb. 18, 1996...parents are former Husker pole vaulter Glen Loontjer (1982-84) and Lori Loontjer...majored in management and marketing...earned bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2019.
