2021-22: Junior 
In her fourth year playing for the Huskers, Jessica Aragon saw action during the spring season where she recorded a doubles victory and finished with a 1-0 record. 

Off the court, Aragon earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska as a management major in May 2022. She earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the third time and was named to the 2022 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. 

2020-21: Junior
Aragon saw the court during the fall and spring seasons where she recorded singles victories in both. In the fall, she finished with a 2-2 record in singles play, which tied her for third in singles victories. In the spring, Aragon went 1-1 in singles play with a convincing win over Danielle Bauers of Iowa (6-4, 6-0) on Feb. 5 at the Wisconsin Invitational.

Off the court, Aragon claimed a prestigious Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award and was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
 

2019-20: Sophomore (Year of Eligibility Restored Due to COVID-19 Pandemic)
Aragon won five singles matches and six doubles matches during her sophomore season, which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She went 5-5 overall in singles play, with a 3-3 record during the spring which included victories at the No. 3, 4 and 6 spots. In doubles play, Aragon teamed with four different partners to post a 6-3 record, including a 5-2 mark during the spring. She paired with Hayley Haakenstad to win three of the duo's four spring doubles matches.

At the ITA Central regionals, Aragon advanced to the round of 64 at the ITA Central regionals in the fall, while also notching a doubles victory with Haakenstad. Aragon opened the spring season with a victory in No. 3 singles in the Huskers' sweep of Sacramento State. She played a key role in Nebraska's win over Air Force, posting a 6-0, 6-0 victory in No. 4 singles and teaming with Chloe Kuckelman for a doubles win, the first of three consecutive doubles victories with three different partners. Aragon teamed with Haakenstad for doubles wins over Colorado State and Wyoming, and Aragon posted her final singles victory of the season at the No. 6 spot against Wichita State.

2018-19: Freshman
Aragon started off her first season at NU with a stellar performance at the Minnesota Invitational, Sept. 21-23. She went a perfect 3-0 in Singles Flight D, capping off her weekend with a victory in the championship over River Hart (MINN) 6-2, 6-4. Aragon and doubles partner Vasanti Shinde went 3-3 together in their first tournament.

At the ITA Regionals in Iowa City, Iowa, Aragon won her first singles match in the 128-player bracket, defeating Riddhi Sharma (UMKC) 6-4, 2-6, (7-5). Aragon fell in the round of 64 to end her first fall season with a 4-1 singles record. In doubles play, Aragon and Shinde won their first three matches to advance to the quarterfinals in the 64-team doubles bracket. They lost to Martina Okalova/Vera Ploner (Tulsa) 8-2 in the quarterfinals.

In the spring season, Aragon finished 10-12 in singles action, including a 4-7 record in Big Ten play. She had her most success playing out of the No. 5 singles spot, where she was 9-9 on the year. She finished 13-10 (6-4 Big Ten) in doubles play with Vasanti Shinde and Claire Reifeis, including a 13-6 mark paired with Reifeis.

Before Nebraska
Aragon, a five-star recruit out of Plano, Texas, was recruited by the Huskers during her time at Dent Tennis Academy. Located in Keller, Texas, Dent serves as a full-time boarding school and training facility for elite tennis players. Under the tutelage of Taylor, Phil and Jenny Dent, who were each ranked as top 50 players in the world at one point, Aragon became one of the most highly sought after players in Texas.

She placed third in the 2017 Texas Girls Grandslam 18's singles division and earned first in doubles. Aragon won the Austin ITF doubles division in 2016 and finished second at the 2017 Silver Ball Girls 18's Winter Nationals in doubles.

Personal
The daughter of Joseph and Judy Aragon, Jessica was born on June 13, 1999 in Plano, Texas. She has two brothers, Joseph and Jacob. She also has one sister, Amanda. A management major, Jessica earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2022. A two-time Academic All-Big Ten choice, she was also a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2021. She is an eight-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. She earned a prestigious Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award in 2020. She is a four-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. She chose Nebraska over Colorado, SMU, Oklahoma and Baylor among others.
