2012 (Senior)
Tyler Hitchler became a three-time All-American in 2012 with a sixth-place finish in the discus at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships... recorded an indoor personal best of 60-10 in the shot put and an outdoor personal best of 194-00 in the discus during his senior season... finished sixth in the shot put at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships with a throw of 59-1 1/4... posted a 12th-place finish in the shot put (56-6 1/2) and took third in the discus (192-11) at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships... posted a throw of 194-00 in the discus at the Arizona State Invitational on March 24... notched a mark of 193-02 in the discus at the Sun Angel Classic on April 7... recorded his indoor personal-best throw of 60-10 in the shot put at the adidas Classic on Jan. 21... was honored as the 2011-12 Nebraska Male Student-Athlete of the Year... also received the Big Ten Medal of Honor award... was also recognized as an academic All-Big Ten and a Nebraska student-athlete honor roll selection .

2011 (Junior)
Hitchler earned the second All-America award of his career in discus at the NCAA Outdoor Championships... posted a personal best of 60-5 1/4 in the shot put at the Nebraska Tune-Up to take second in the event... finished second in the shot put at the Frank Sevigne Invitational with a mark of 59-2 1/4... finished fourth at the 2011 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships with a 59-9 shot put... earned All-Big 12 honors... impressive early in the outdoor season with a personal-best 191-8 in the discus at the Pepsi Invitational to finish first... also came in third in the shot put at the Pepsi Invite with a mark of 56-1 1/4... finished third at the Kansas Relays with a shot put of 57-2... earned All-Big 12 honors and finished in fifth place in the shot put at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a personal-best toss of 60-9 1/2... also earned All-Big 12 honors in the discus with a throw of 191-3 at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships for a third-place showing... his seventh-place throw of 182-0 in discus at the NCAA Championships earned him his second straight All-America honor.

2010 (Sophomore)
Hitchler became the first Husker on the men's side to earn All-America honors in the discus since 2002 after placing 11th overall and eighth among American competitors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships... opened the indoor season by improving his personal best in the shot put at four straight meets... entered the season with a mark of 52-6 1/4 and then posted throws of 53-8 1/2, 54-2 1/2, 56-1 1/4 and 57-4 3/4... bettered the mark once more later in the season at the Nebraska Tune-Up with a toss of 58-4 3/4... took fourth in the shot at the Big 12 Indoor Championships (58-2)... entered the outdoor season with a personal best of 53-3 in the shot put... improved the mark at his first three meets, including a throw of 56-4 3/4 at the Nebraska Invitational... broke 180 feet in the discus at the Texas Tech Dual (185-0) and NCAA West Regional (180-0)... failed to record a mark at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the discus as he fouled on all three attempts... responded with an 11th-place finish in the discus at the regional meet to qualify for nationals... tossed 178-7 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

2009 (Redshirt Freshman)
Following a redshirt season, Hitchler made a big impact with a trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships... competed in the shot put at six meets during the indoor season... posted a then-personal-best toss of 52-6 1/2 at the Nebraska Tune-Up to finish fifth... opened the outdoor season with a regional-qualifying and then-personal-best discus throw of 170-10 at the Stanford Invitational to finish first... set a then-personal best in the shot put with a mark of 53-3 at the Nebraska Quad... took runner-up honors at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a personal-best toss of 187-10... automatically qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships via a third-place toss of 182-9 at the NCAA Midwest Regional... ended the year with a 24th-place showing at the NCAA Championships, throwing 169-9.

2008 (Freshman)
Hitchler redshirted his first year at Nebraska, as he focused on improving his skill in the discus... competed unattached at both home meets during the outdoor season, finishing runner-up at the Nebraska Open with a throw of 162-7 (49.65) and fifth at the Nebraska Invitational with a throw of 148-2 (45.17) in the rain.

Before Nebraska (Fremont HS)
Hitchler recorded the fourth-longest throw (201-6) in Nebraska prep history at the early season Millard North Invitational on March 24, setting the Nebraska Class A state record... won the 2007 Nebraska Class A discus with a throw of 187-4... captured the bronze medal in the 2006 state meet... threw the platter a season-best 173-0 in the 2006 Nebraska Junior Olympics... coached by Dave Sellon and Jon Appleget... was a member of the National Honor Society.
